Durban Tourism Durban is the third largest city of South Africa and is located on the east coast of South Africa in the province of KwaZulu-Natal and in the municipality of eThekwini. It is also the busiest port in South Africa. The original name of Durban was Port Natal and was founded by British people. Durban’s population mostly consists of Indians, who came into the country way back with the British to help them grow the sugar cane crop. The most common languages that are spoken in Durban are English and Zulu.
